Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2015 MFW

  Can I just say that Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabbana have done it again! Their Women’s SS15 collection show was simply amazing. I loved every second of it. I was excited for it… and even still excited watching it!

  For this collection, they were inspired by the Spanish influence on Sicily between the years of 1516 and 1713. I could definitely see the Spanish influences on these designs. The music was one of my favorite parts, very beautiful and romantic Spanish music. It made me feel like I was strolling through the streets of Barcelona. Even watching it from my laptop, I could feel the Italian and Spanish essence coming together. So stunning.

Emilio Pucci Spring/Summer 2015 MFW

The entire Emilio Pucci Spring 2015 RTW collection is simply magnificent! From the psychedelic chiffon dresses and flowing tie-dye goddess dresses, to the 1970s fringe and macrame… well done, Peter Dundas!

Versace Spring/Summer 2015 MFW

Fashion Week in Milan has been impressive to me so far. We’re already on day 3. I’m never the biggest fan of Donatella’s work but I did find a few nice looks in there which was pleasing for a change. I liked the black and white looks in the beginning and the net fabric looks a lot for example.

Max Mara Spring/Summer 2015 MFW

Despite a rather somber color palette, British creative director Ian Griffith’s spring collection at the helm of Max Mara had a decidedly upbeat spin-one inspired by Serge Gainsbourg’s “Laide Jolie Laide” and Anjelica Huston in the Italian fashion house’s own 1971 campaign. Heavy on the micro-floral and geometric prints, the Seventies, with its simple cuts and relaxed suiting, roared on at Max Mara. While there was a pronounced emphasis on the waist in the calfskin coats, body-ultralight dresses and military-style blouses, it wasn’t so much second-skin as it was body-skimming. Models were accessorized by floppy, beach-style “cloche” hats that had a spirit of Diane Keaton a la “Annie Hall.”

Moschino Spring/Summer 2015 MFW

"I’m a Barbie girl, in Moschino’s world"

Since Jeremy Scott is Moschino’s creative director, the brand has gained popularity amongst the cool kids of Milan Fashion week, with Anna Dello Russo being one of the biggest supporters. While Scott’s inspiration is rather cheesy,last season’s Fast Food inspired collection especially, the looks Barbie collection will, without doubt, be a commercial success. This Moschino collection was pretty in pink tanned to the gawds. We have fitness Barbie, business Barbie, travel Barbie, movie star Barbie, even hot mess Barbie.
